Introduction and commitment

This privacy policy clearly explains how your personal data is collected, used and protected when using the Guide mobile app (technical name: Gald), an AI- and location-assisted cultural audio exploration service.

Guide places the highest importance on privacy and processes your data in strict compliance with GDPR, French law and applicable European standards.

What data do we collect and why?

Guide collects only the data strictly required to operate its services: real-time location to provide stories suited to your position, stated cultural interests, usage statistics, technical device data, and account data if you create one, such as your email address.

This information enables a personalized experience, continuous service improvement and cultural recommendations adapted by our AI.

No data is collected without your knowledge, and Guide’s main modes can be used without an account, except for certain premium features.

Website contact form

When you use the contact form, Guide Corp. processes your name, email address, selected profile where provided, message and subsequent correspondence to receive, assess, process and follow up on your request.

This processing is based on Guide’s legitimate interest in answering enquiries and managing relationships. The name, email and message fields marked with an asterisk are required; the profile field is optional.

Data is available only to authorized Guide personnel and, where strictly necessary, technical providers acting on its behalf. It is retained for six months after the last exchange, then deleted unless a legal obligation or legal claim requires longer retention.

Legal basis and purposes

Processing is based on: (1) your consent when data is explicitly collected, such as account creation or AI personalization, (2) legitimate interests connected with app operation, audience measurement, security and user experience, and (3) compliance with legal obligations.

Your data is used only to operate, improve and secure Guide. It is never sold or used for unsolicited advertising or commercial purposes.

Hosting, security and service providers

All data is hosted on servers located within the European Union. We apply robust security measures to protect its confidentiality and integrity.

Guide may use GDPR-compliant providers, such as cloud hosting and analytics services, selected for their security and compliance standards.

No data is transferred outside the EU without appropriate safeguards. Providers access data only as needed for their assignment and under precise instructions.

Retention period

Personal data is retained only for as long as strictly necessary to provide services or meet legal obligations. It is then anonymized or securely deleted.

If you create an account, your information is stored until the account is deleted or you expressly request deletion.

Usage statistics are retained in aggregated form for anonymous audience analysis and service improvement.

User rights

Under GDPR, you may exercise your rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent at any time.

If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL, at www.cnil.fr.

No data is processed for commercial profiling. Your choices and preferences are fully respected.
